Susan Kimberlin is an angel investor and advisor to (mostly) early-stage technology companies. She is the founding LP and a venture partner at Backstage Capital, a GP and advisor at AccelepriseSF, and an investor in over 25 companies and a handful of funds. She is passionate about making connections and helping people meet their potential and she believes that diversity is an essential and under-utilized asset to all businesses.
Susan's background is in linguistics and adjacent technologies: natural language processing, AI, machine learning, big data. Prior to career focus to investing, she spent 15 years in operational roles that span product development, from coding to product management. She established and grew the product teams working on search features and platform at Salesforce from 2007 to 2014, and held various development and product management roles before that at various startups and at PayPal.
