    Seattle

Sunjay is VP of Product Development for Capital One Investing, where he leads Product, Design, Data Science, and Program Management teams focused on building investing tools, experiences and solutions for web, mobile and emerging consumer platforms. Prior to Capital One, Sunjay led Product Design for the Alexa Skills Kit (ASK), launching the SDK that now powers a growing ecosystem of developers and content creators to build voice experiences for Echo (the digital device) and Alexa (the intelligent personality). Prior to Alexa, Sunjay led Product for Amazon Simple Queue Service and Amazon Simple Workflow, both AWS services for building large-scale distributed and big data systems.

Before joining Amazon, Sunjay founded and built startups for over a decade including: Backseat Driver Games – a platform that let parents feel good about their kids’ screen time by injecting educational content packs into the games they play; Oyogi, a precursor to Quora and Slack, and the first cloud-based product to help knowledge-seekers find and collaborate with experts through web-based IM; and Planix – one of the first cloud-based products to help Product and Technology professionals iteratively estimate and plan app development projects.

Outside the office? In his words, "I’m happily married to a proud Chicagoan and have three kids (two boys and a girl), all of whom keep me grounded. I love all forms of music and have been known to embarrass myself at an open mic. I love college hoops (particularly watching UNC with my family), and have reluctantly but enthusiastically embraced the Seahawks."
