Summer leads product marketing for the core products at Bazaarvoice, the industry leader in consumer-generated content. She is responsible for product positioning, strategy and outbound marketing activities. In her 2 years, she has grown her responsibilities and team to oversee the Competitive Intelligence and Field Enablement programs.
Prior to joining Bazaarvoice in 2013, she spent 3 years in Bentonville, Arkansas building Walmart’s Facebook presence from 1MM to 29MM fans. She oversaw social strategy and co-marketing programs with suppliers, as well as managed a $30MM media budget. She ran dozens of supplier funded social campaigns, including one that landed her in Kodiak Island, Alaska with Pitbull (#exilepitbull). Her client-side retail and brand experience allowed her to bring immediate value to Bazaarvoice as she transitioned to B2B technology.
Before Walmart, Summer earned a full-time M.B.A. from McCombs in 2010, and spent several years in Biotech sales in her Bay Area home after earning a B.S. in Biotech/Microbiology from UC Davis in 2004. In what little time remains after work and never-ending bridesmaid duties, she takes advantage of downtown living with her porportionally-challenged mutt, Carlos.
