Originally from California, Steve has spent over 15 years in the computer industry wearing many different hats including database admin, project manager, and software engineer. Steve loves to share the wisdom he's picked up from the various large corporations and small startups for whom he's worked. Apart from his love of coding, Steve has a passion for cooking (and a culinary arts degree), a deep affection for dogs, and a little place in his soul that is only completely happy in Brazil.

In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Steve has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.
