Steven is a lead Data Science Instructor for General Assembly as well as an Board Member for the A.I. & Data Science Standards Board. In his primary job at Hilton Steven is the Head of Advanced Analytics, BI and Automation delivering the cutting edge of AI driven insights and self-service capabilities to further Hilton’s position as the preeminent Hospitality company. Previous roles at Hilton include the development of new Hotel brands, rebuilding Hilton’s signature benefit (Team Member Travel) and building data driven approaches to Innovation & Product and driving Owner strategy. Before joining Hilton Steven started his career with technology startups then served as a consultant for a range of both government agencies and Fortune 100 companies.
Steven is a graduate of the University of Virginia with double majors in Economics and Biology with a minor in Chemistry. In the spare time between family moments he teaches motorcycle racing, white-water kayaking and facilitates Data Science classes at both the DC campus and online.
In recognition of his exemplary service in the classroom, Steven has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.

In this course, the learner will gain a hands-on introduction to data analytics and visualization using SQL and Tableau.
