Steve is VP of Data and Business Analysis for Cachematrix, a Denver based fintech company that provides SaaS software and solutions for large banks and financial institutions. Steve manages the Business Analyst and Database Administrator teams for the company.
His Business Analysis team is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, functional requirements and technical specifications for system enhancements and product development. The BAs are also responsible for providing executive data analytics as well as custom, ad-hoc and batch customer reports.
His Database Administrator team is responsible for care and maintenance of Cachematrix’s proprietary databases for their production, UAT and demo environments. This includes database design, data-to-day maintenance, performance tuning, server upgrades, code deployment and custom database code development.
Steve got his start in the financial services industry with a Denver based mutual fund after graduating with a degree from the University of Colorado School of Journalism. Working hard and always taking on new challenges Steve eventually found himself directing teams of application testers, business analysts, system administrators, workflow analysts and information reporting specialists. Usually working within Business Operations rather than Information Technology, Steve has always enjoyed bringing technology into the business to make the company more efficient, reliable and scalable.
Away from the keyboard Steve enjoys armature photography, snowboarding and spending time with his amazing wife and kids.
