Steve Hanks is Consulting Chief Data Scientist at Whitepage Inc where his group builds and maintains a massive scale data ingestion / ETL / entity resolution pipeline as well as the low-latency high-reliability services supplying identity data to internal clients. Prior to Whitepages Steve's industrial jobs included software engineering and data science leadership roles at Microsoft, Amazon, Adready, and several startups. He was a tenured faculty member in computer science both at UW Seattle and at UW Tacoma. He has an MBA degree in Management Science from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD degree in computer science and Artificial Intelligence from Yale University.
