Los Angeles
Started building video streaming sites for television stations in the midwest in 1997. I moved on to building data acquisition and publishing tools for the National Science Foundation while living in Arizona. After moving to LA in 2006 I had some early success in the iOS App Store, briefly beating Facebook in downloads. Shortly after I was hired as the CTO of Mobile Roadie, an app creation platform for Brands, which created apps for Katy Perry, Madonna, Taylor Swift and San Diego Zoo. Prior to joining Native Instruments I was CTO and Co-Founder for a startup that developed an iOS SDK and backend for custom emoji in apps called Makemoji.
Outside of work I produce bands and artists out of my studio in Highland Park. When I have time I also write music for myself, mostly electronic, loopy guitar things. Have been collecting records and DJing since the mid-nineties.
