After graduating from Manchester with plenty of retail experience, feminist consciousness and a few years of activism under her belt, she enrolled on the Year Here postgrad course in Social Innovation. From there she continued to work with women's services, and met her business partner Sarah. Their shared vision for empowering women on both sides of the supply chain was the springboard for creating Birdsong.
