Sophia Xiao is on the investment and operations team at General Catalyst. The core theme of her career has been helping tech companies scale through hypergrowth - including Vontu (acquired by Symantec), Box, and Twitch. She approaches scaling with a growth mindset, through scaling and then iterating on a playbook that consists of identifying core competence, articulating competitive strength, building collaborations and establishing standardized processes across every constituency when it makes sense. She is also the founder of Campton Investments, which is a portfolio of real estate and angel investments across the U.S.
Sophia’s joys outside the office are her family, listening to great books, and traveling. She is also a certified yoga instructor and serves on the Education Committee of the San Francisco Symphony, which brings equitable access to music education throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
