Shilpa has been in the Data industry for over a Decade. She graduated with a Master's in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. Shilpa has worked as a Data Scientist/Analyst in SaaS, Public Sector, and Fortune 500 MNC companies. She has worked extensively with AWS Cloud, Python, Power BI, and SQL tools to solve various business problems around Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Statistical Analysis, and Business Process Automation. As someone from a Non-Data Science educational background, Shilpa upskilled her knowledge to understand and apply the power of Analytics and Artificial Intelligence for positive business impact.

With the continuing aim to influence fellow data enthusiasts trying to break into a more data-centric career, Shilpa actively participates in public conferences as a speaker and part of panel discussions with industry experts to spread technology awareness and motivate women in tech. Today, as a Senior Lead Instructor at General Assembly, she imparts industry knowledge and technical skills to enable several professionals from various industries and backgrounds to pivot successfully into data-centric careers.
