Sheree Haggan lives in Queens although she calls Idaho home. Being one of the very few students of color in Southern Idaho with no openly gay students, she was on the opposite end of inclusion for most of her academic career. She transferred to multiple schools in college hoping to find a place where she felt she belonged- only to discover her passion for creating inclusivity and awareness around her.
She studied Communication with an emphasis in Public Speaking at the College of Southern Idaho, Utah State University, and Colorado State University. After graduation she worked in the Access & Diversity Center at USU. She was part of the National Association for Multicultural Educators and traveled to other universities and conferences teaching workshops on White Privilege and microaggressions. She now works in Staffing Services at Google where she is a member of Gayglers, the Black Googler Network, and Women@.
