    Boston

    Shelley Yen-Ewert, LCSW is the Director of Organizational Development and Learning at the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center. In this role she works on improving inter-agency processes and fostering staff professional development to help BARCC more effectively live out its mission of ending sexual violence. She also leads a collaboration between BARCC, the Boston Center for Independent Living, the MBTA and the Transit Police Department to improve services for survivors with disabilities. Shelley loves to draw on people’s strengths and create space for many different perspectives with the belief that this leads to better solutions.

    In addition to her work at BARCC she was one of the Boston Women’s March organizers working on  the accessibility of the event for people with disabilities and the Deaf community.

    Prior to working at BARCC Shelley has worked in agencies with missions focused on supporting homeless women and children and survivors of domestic violence. She has a Masters in Social Work from Salem State University.
