Human Resources Manager, Full Measure Education

Sheika Reid is a Human Resources professional whose career has largely been defined by community development. In recent years, she has worked with start-ups to stand up their operations and identify avenues for companies to better engage with the communities around them. Sheika is currently serving as the Human Resources Manager for Full Measure Education, a higher-education, mobile-first technology start-up which is designed to help institutions engage more effectively with current and future students. In her current role, she is overseeing a period of rapid growth following the company’s $11 million series B funding round. Full Measure Education is now aiming to hire 40-50 employees within the next year. Her task is to develop systems and implement tools to mainstream the hiring process across every department within the company through the lens of Diversity Equity and Inclusion.

Sheika is a third generation DC-native and former city-council candidate. She attended Howard University. Additionally, she is a proud board member of Run Hope Work, a non-profit using athletics and meditation to help returning citizens gain the tools they need to succeed. She has also volunteered her time internationally with Engineers Without Borders. In her free time she teaches tennis lessons, enjoys traveling and trying new cuisines.
