Shafer brings tenacity, conviction and innovation to everything he approaches. Shafer is a corporate gladiator, having built a practice area in an IT consulting firm from scratch to a business unit with $45M annual revenue. Additionally, Shafer has taken his deeply personal 150 pound weight loss journey public and become one of DC’s biggest group fitness instructors. Shafer felt there was an opportunity to fuse Agile software development and fitness and conceived PULSE House of Fitness in 2016. He put his money where his mouth is, sold his DC townhouse and opened the first brick and mortar PULSE House in September 2018.
