Sezin Yigit is the co-founder and VP of R&D at Cambridge Crops, an ag-tech company focusing on extending the shelf-life of fresh products with edible coating. Her prior expertise on protein research help create novel industry relevant solutions for existing inefficiencies in supply chain. Cambridge Crops has raised around $5 million for their seed round with a goal to have products for extended food shelf life, enable new fresh products and new markets. Her day to day life involves discussions with the team on creating edible and nutritious tech, writing a blog on food science and sustainable kitchens, long bike rides and cooking for friends. She completed her PhD at the Silklab at Tufts University and her postdoctoral work in Calderwood lab at Yale University.
