Sergey enjoys applying his quantitative skills to new large-scale, data intensive problems. He's an avid learner and always trying to refine his programming chops and to learn about new analytical approaches. In his current role, he is developing analytical pipelines using Scala, leveraging Scalding as an incredibly versatile Map/Reduce framework, and Python for smaller dataset wrangling and model building at a digital advertising startup.
In the past, he's used JAVA both in production and as part of a research program and grew to love MATLAB as a graduate student. He's also comfortable with mySQL and MongoDB, as I used both of these database technologies at a wind energy analytics startup.
Currently, he is the Lead Data Scientist at SecurityScorecard.
