Sean Arian is the Vice President of Innovation and Emerging Technologies for the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and the Founder of the Bixel Exchange. At the Bixel Exchange, Sean oversees the Chamber’s Startup Development program and the LA HI-TECH initiative to create career pathways to tech jobs for LA students.
Prior to working with the Chamber, Sean was the Director of Economic Development for LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa where he helped develop many of the initiatives that sought to build LA’s innovation economy. He also worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co., serves on the board of the California League of Conservation Voters Educational Fund, Homeboy Industries and advisory board of the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy. A ninth generation Californian, he holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.A. from UC Berkeley.
