Satya leads Data Science at Marigold Health, a Boston-based startup that's scaling mental health and substance use treatment for underserved populations. Marigold’s core platform uses chat support groups to reach and retain vulnerable patients in care. At Marigold, Satya builds algorithms that can detect the mental health states of users based on the sentiment within messages, understanding the nuance in slang and jargon between different communities. He is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, where he worked within the Center For Language and Speech Processing as a masters student. Previously, he has built a variety of AI/NLP products currently used by Fortune 500 companies. His research interests lie in the fair and ethical use of technology to tackle societal problems.
