Denver
Sarah Vander Neut grew up in Bend, Oregon. Her Dad ran for Nike and her mom was her 4-H sewing instructor. Naturally, she was raised to love running and sewing. Vander Neut pursued Fine Art at Boise State University. In 2008 she graduated from Denver Seminary. In 2010 she graduated from the Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver. Vander Neut taught art in Cherry Creek Schools. In 2011, she was pregnant and in need of some warm running gear, so she made herself a few running jackets--and they fit! Realizing that athletic jackets are the one constant apparel need in Colorado, she founded Vander Jacket. Vander Neut has designed and made over 600 original jackets for women and men runners. Each jacket is constructed to serve long distance runners and is made of locally-sourced fabric. Sarah's mind has been a full time employee of Vander Jacket for seven years, however, technically, she spends most of her time as a stay-at-home mom in Aurora, where she lives with her husband and two young children.
