Sarah Stokely is the Digital Communications Director for StartSomeGood.com, the world’s leading crowdfunding platform for social impact projects. Her interests are creating and growing social good communities, and amplifying social change through social networks and quality journalism. Sarah is the founder of #4good, a nationwide networking group for people who work, study or volunteer for social good. She also founded Girl Geek Dinners Melbourne, a networking group for women in IT.

An award winning journalist, Sarah founded The Open Source Report and was the launch editor of Lifehacker Australia. She’s also lectured in web publishing at the University of Melbourne.While working for independent news site Crikey, Sarah oversaw the build and launch of blogs.crikey.com.au, at the time Australia’s first independent politics and current affairs blog network. Sarah founded the popular crowd-run Twitter projects @WeMelbourne and @WeTasmania, and the online dating project @100dates. Sarah is on the Board of the Foundation for Public Interest Journalism and is a former Vice Chair of Electronic Frontiers Australia (EFA).
