    Founding Principal, Marquette IP

    Melbourne

Sarah is an Australian Lawyer, Registered Trade Marks Attorney and the Founding Principal of Marquette IP. Sarah specialises in trade marks and brand protection for the creative sector. Sarah has a particular specialisation in international brand protection rights and works with a large number of international companies, including clothing retailers, industrial designers and Software App developers, on protecting and managing their IP in global markets.

Uniquely, Sarah expands on the routine practice of IP law by providing consultancy to a number of advertising and creative branding agencies on the development of legally protectable brands for their clients, including clearance of proposed brands at the development stage. In collaborating with these agencies to deliver tailored advice around maximising the value of IP for their clients, Sarah draws on industry "know-how" gained from an additional 3 years’ experience working at a creative branding agency.

Sarah is also well-versed in the areas of copyright, design registrations and advises businesses and "start-ups" on a variety of IP related licenses, contracts and agreements.
