Sarah Moshman is an Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker and TV producer. She has worked as a field producer for shows on ABC, NBC, MTV, Bravo, Lifetime, and the Food Network shooting and interviewing talent, often operating as a one-woman band. In 2012, Sarah launched a Kickstarter campaign to pursue her dream of directing a documentary about inspirational women. She raised over $28,000 in 60 days for her film “The Empowerment Project: Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things”. Two years later, Sarah turned that campaign and film into her full-time job. Along with her business partner and with the help of her distributor Indieflix, Sarah travels to schools, groups, organizations, and corporate offices to screen the film and start an important conversation around empowerment in America today. Throughout this process, Sarah has learned not only how to direct and produce an independent documentary feature film on a shoestring budget, but also how to fundraise, market, promote, and acquire distribution that is profitable. Sarah loves to empower people to make change in their lives and follow their dreams too!
