Sarah Hamilton is the CEO of bellabox, a beauty subscription service and online store. Established in 2011, bellabox is Asia-Pacific’s market leading beauty box that is delivered to more than 40,000 subscribers each month. bellabox features cosmetics, skincare, fragrances and accessories. Sarah leads a team of 30 across Australia and Singapore and works with more than 400 leading beauty brand partners.
Sarah Hamilton has a background in financial management and marketing. Before launching bellabox, Sarah worked in London as Finance Manager at Dazed and Confused and was General Manager at Spin magazine in New York. Previously she held senior finance roles in fashion/media companies including Buchanan Group and The Dazed Group. She has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from Monash University.
In 2011, Sarah co-founded bellabox with her twin sister Emily Hamilton. Sarah runs operations from Melbourne and Emily is based in Singapore. Since its inception, bellabox has attracted a wide range of members and has recorded double-digit growth quarter-on-quarter. Fundamental to its "super-engaged" relationship with members is in-depth information about each client’s beauty and lifestyle preferences. bellabox has close to 100,000 Facebook followers and 22,000 Instagrammers.
Sarah is married and has two small children Ruby and Otis and a slightly jealous bulldog Thompson. Sarah has been featured in TechCrunch, Inside Retail, The Australian Financial Review, SMH, BRW, Mashable, Business Insider and AdNews.
Investors in bellabox include Square Peg Capital, Apex Capital, Monash Capital and a number of angel investors. In September 2014, bellabox received funding from Allure Media which owns digital brands including Popsugar, Gizmodo, Lifehacker, Kotaku and Business Insider. Allure Media is wholly owned by Fairfax Media.
