Sanj Srikanthan is the International Rescue Committee’s Deputy Executive Director and Vice President, Europe. He joined IRC in June 2010 and has worked in over 8 countries in response to both natural disasters, like the Haiti earthquake and Ebola outbreak, as well as complex conflict related emergencies in northern Syria and South Sudan. As the former Emergency Field Director, he has been at the forefront of some of the most challenging responses that IRC has mounted, and supports initiatives to reform humanitarian response, in order to improve impact and effectiveness of the aid sector.
