    Sagi Zisman

    Data Scientist, Return Path

    Denver

Sagi was born in Tel Aviv, Israel near the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean. At the age of 9, he moved to Austin, TX. He received his BS and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. While in school, he was a TA for circuits and software courses. After grad school, Sagi went on to cofound STEMed Labs--a K-12 STEM education non-profit that teaches CS and has impacted over 400 children. At the same time, he started his career in data and joined the analytics team of the startup SpareFoot. Since then, he has worked as a Data Scientist for a digital marketing agency and is currently an independent data consultant.

Sagi's tip to students: Learn to see the beauty in the process of your algorithms and in building of your model. There are nuggets of intuition hidden in the mathematical detail. You need patience to uncover them. Also, the best way to learn is to teach others.
