    Ryan Tillman-French

    Instructional Associate, General Assembly

    Boston

"I am still learning" stands as one of Ryan's favorite quotes -- the growth mindset standing as something near and dear to him. The constant challenges of learning and the opportunity to grow are the qualities that made Ryan fall in love with software engineering.

Ryan got his start with Web Development via Resilient Coders and went on to work as a Web Application Developer with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Within his role at HMH, he handled customer-facing web applications, the development of microsites, and built tools and applications for internal usage. Additionally, Ryan has worked in "coding classrooms" previously, having put in much of his free time working with children in afterschool coding programs such as "Coding with Kids" and working as a mentor with Resilient Coders.

Always enthused about the opportunity to share information, Ryan looks forward to continuing to share his knowledge at General Assembly within the Software Engineering Immersive program.

Ryan comes to the classroom with a desire to teach -- while keeping things fun, hands-on, and exciting.
