Ruth worked as a production manager in book publishing for 20 years, before being laid off as a result of outsourcing. Lacking the technical skills needed to enter a job market that had dramatically changed, she enrolled in Web Development at General Assembly. She graduated with not only a new skill-set, but also (and most importantly) a new passion. Ruth has been coding for almost a year, and she loves it!
