Rowena Dumlao-Giardina is a photographer and a food and wine writer living in Italy for twenty years. While backpacking around Europe in 1999, she met her future husband, Fabio who was also traveling in the same countries. Marriage came and then two kids and dogs. Now settled in Rome, she writes about restaurants, wineries, enogastronomic events and travel destinations in Italy and Europe. She is also a certified sommelier with Associazione Italiana Sommelier as well as a certified French Wine Scholar after passing the WSET course about French regions and wines in France. She is behind the 8-year old blog Apron and Sneakers and the newly-created guide The Chosen Table. She has almost a decade of experience in writing, creating recipes and photographing at sites like She Knows, Skinny Miss, Mode, Thanksgiving, A Luxury Travel Blog, Honest Cooking, iBalsamic, and China Wine News.
