Rowan Schaefer
Rowan Schaefer is an instructor for General Assembly’s Data Science Immersive. Previously, Rowan was a behavioral health professional who entered the world of data science while managing patient records at a healthcare facility. After learning independently for a year, she began volunteering for a SQL course, contracted with local clients and academic publications, and completed General Assembly's Data Analytics and Data Science immersives.
She has 7 years of experience with skills coaching in small groups, and is passionate about applying her background in inquiry based learning and facilitated social learning to technical topics. When she isn’t teaching, you can find her hiking or running.
