Rob has been interested in innovation and creativity as long as he can remember. From being a child and playing with his TIMEX computer to designing the first Apple Watch app for Air Canada. As well as being a toddler drawing on the walls of his parents' living room, which was quickly painted over, to exhibiting his experimental sculpture and digital work in galleries and museums.
His Design experience started in Silicon Valley at Yahoo!, Netscape, AOL and a number of start-ups. He led international teams as the Director of UX for the AOL International portals, and while running his own UX consulting company he worked on digital products across industries from Disney/ESPN, JP Morgan Chase, Pfizer, Genentech, Arm & Hammer, Newman’s Own, CNN and others.
Robert has recently developed a coaching practice for helping Designers and Digital Design teams. Based on his many years of experience in designing for technology this practice is focused on empowering Designers and enabling the kind of mindset necessary for true innovation.
He is also an exhibiting artist whose work is represented by Robert Henry Contemporary in New York and has been featured in Fast Company, the Village Voice, the Creators Project and other publications.
