Rob Salkowitz (@robsalk) is an author, educator and consultant specializing in the social and business impact of new technology. He is author of four books including Young World Rising: How Youth, Technology and Entrepreneurship are Changing the World from the Bottom Up and Comic-Con and the Business of Pop Culture, and has keynoted events worldwide. His work has appeared in dozens of publications including The New York Times, Entrepreneur, Bloomberg BusinessWeek and FORBES, where he is a contributing writer for media and entertainment. Rob was a co-founder and director of content for Seattle-based digital communications firm MediaPlant and currently maintains his own consulting practice specializing in storytelling for startups and future-oriented companies. He teaches future of marketing and visual storytelling at the University of Washington Communication Leadership Graduate Program and serves as a judge/mentor for the annual business plan competition at the Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship at UW’s Foster School of Business.
