Riqua Hailes is a visionary and entrepreneur by nature. Riqua owns and operates a conglomerate of successful salons featuring a "bar" concept including Just Extensions, the first hair extensions bar in Los Angeles, Just Weaves in Inglewood and is the founder of Weaves Express located on the East Coast. Additionally in 2015, Riqua produced and directed the international documentary, Just Extensions - A Journey into the World of Hair Extensions, available on iTunes and Amazon. Prior to venturing into the world of hair extensions, Riqua owned and operated a ladies shoe boutique in Georgetown, an affluent shopping district in her hometown of Washington, D.C. Her vision and business savvy landed her recognition in national publications such as Vogue, Refinery29, Essence, E!News, LA Times, Hollywood Reporter and many others.
The Georgetown University graduate holds two Master's Degrees in Public Relations and Corporate Communications. Through her personal struggle with dyslexia, Riqua is an advocate for ensuring that all children have access to high quality learning experiences that maximize their strengths. Although currently residing in Los Angeles, Riqua will forever consider herself a Washingtonian. Riqua enjoys being a fabulous auntie, spending time with family, international travel and "just" relaxing.
