Richard is currently the co-founder at EllisX. Originally from Ghana, he previously founded 3 startups - Origma Technologies, Menotice and Hiresail Inc., in the Media, AdTech, and HR industries respectively, mostly while studying for his undergraduate degree in Computer Science. Having obtained First Class honors upon graduation, He moved to Boston for his Master's degree in International Business.
During his Master's program, he participated in the prestigious IXL Innovation Olympics on a project focused on reducing racial income inequality by doubling the combined revenue of minority-owned SMEs ($2.7 billion) in the next five years. His team's solution to match these SMEs with local students who can serve as consultants to improve the SMEs' digital engagement won 1st prize at the competition.
In addition, Richard brought together an international team that envisioned an untapped opportunity for one of the top 3 US telecommunications companies gain an edge in the 5G race.
Richard was named a 2018 Forbes Fellow and listed in BostInno's 25 under 25.
