I grew up in Houston , attended UT Austin BA Biology 1986, Baylor College of Medicine MD 1990. Completed residency in General Surgery , and Cardiothoracic residency in 1990-1997 at University of Texas Health Science Center @ San Antonio. I have been in private practice ( performing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery) for twenty years, the last 12 in Austin. I Also have an appointment at Dell Medical School as Director of PreHealth Professions.
