Singapore

Raymond Chan is the Senior Data Scientist at the Chope Group. He heads the Data Science team which is responsible for search, recommendations, measurement and data warehousing. He has participated in the Channel News Asia documentary "Work is a 4-letter Word" that shines a spotlight on the work of a Data Scientist.

He began his career as an researcher doing his PhD in mathematical biology at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Natural Sciences (Leipzig, Germany) and a postdoc in neuroscience at the Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, Texas) before being dragged into the depths of private enterprise.
