Rachel Read
Freelance writer, editor & founder, Through The Looking Glass
Hong Kong
A Hong-Kong based freelance writer with over a decade’s editorial experience, Rachel is the former Editor of Sassy Hong Kong and Music/Style Editor of Maximum Pop. She has contributed to the likes of South China Morning Post, Hong Kong Tatler Dining, Lifestyle Asia, BBC Nottingham and Home Journal, and in 2014, co-founded writing and editing agency Editors’ Ink with fellow freelancer Kate Farr.
Rachel started her beauty, food and lifestyle blog Through The Looking Glass in 2010 after noticing the lack of English-language in-depth beauty blogs in Hong Kong; it has since received over one million page views. She regularly partners with the likes of MAC Cosmetics, Benefit, Shu Uemura and BareMinerals to produce her detailed product reviews… and has now lost count of the number of bottles of nail polish she owns.
