Peter Cherukuri is the President and Chief Innovation Officer for 1776 – a global network for startup innovation. In his role, Peter leads 1776’s work to unite the fragmented startup ecosystem to help startups, government and corporations solve the world’s biggest challenges. Peter’s career has focused on the technology and business model disruption within the media sector with senior executive positions at POLITICO and Huffington Post. Peter is an active angel investor through K Street Capital, an DC-based angel investor group, which he co-founded. In addition, he serves on the board of trustees for MGA Holdings, the Shakespeare Theater Company, National Press Foundation and the Close-up Foundation.
