Peilin ("payleen") Pratt embraces transitions and believes every professional adventure has and will continue to prepare her to take on the next.
Peilin started her professional career as a corporate attorney working on mergers and acquisitions at one of the largest law firms in the world, Skadden Arps. She then moved out of the legal field into business affairs at CBS Studios negotiating talent deals for scripted television. And for the last 10 years, Peilin and her husband, built a $15+ million e-commerce company (candywarehouse.com) operating out of bi-coastal warehouses with over 45 employees. While running candywarehouse.com, Peilin and her husband created Pratt Properties LLC and began purchasing industrial buildings so they could operate from and store inventory in their own properties.
No stranger to career changes in uniquely different fields, Peilin has had to start over many times and learn about a new industry with a new lingo in the world of law, entertainment, warehousing, logistics, HR, e-commerce and commercial real estate.
Having worn a variety hats as both employer and employee, Peilin has developed many insights on how to succeed at both. Her decade-long journey as a business owner with numerous high, lows, detours and lessons-learned, give her much insight on entrepreneurship.
Peilin and her husband recently sold candywarehouse.com and she is currently planning her next professional adventure. Peilin has a B.A. from the University of Washington and a J.D. from Harvard Law School and is mom to Tesla (age 12) and Tucker (age 5).
