Paul Schaffer manages the data science team at The Atlantic. Prior to joining The Atlantic, Paul did data science work for healthcare.gov, on the federal health insurance exchange established under the ACA, and prior to that, he was on the national data team for the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign in 2016. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Yale University.
