Paul’s passion for skiing and snowboarding started at an early age on the east coast resorts of Mad River Glen & Gore Mountain and ultimately influenced him to move to Colorado after college. Boulder was an easy choice with its relaxed lifestyle, access to world class resorts, and a thriving tech scene, but his career took root building software for the financial industry.
It wasn’t until starting Mapleton Hill, with his business partner Jason Timbo, in 2006 that the two worlds started to connect. Initial clients included Moutnainsmith, Kelty, Sierra Designs and eventually Vail Resorts, Aspen Skiing Company, Intrawest, Whistler Blackcomb, & Inntopia. Understanding the software technologies and solutions used by most resorts gives Mapleton Hill a unique advantage in the Industry. Being able to mix his love for deep powder and clean software has exceeded his expectations for what it means to go to work and he is thankful for all of the opportunities he has had both at work and on the slopes.
