Pam Lozoff

Founder, Spirit of Youth Yoga

San Francisco

Pam Lozoff, MSW, RYT is a mover, a changemaker, and a seeker. She moves through yoga and somatic/embodied practices, makes change through community-based mental health work, and seeks growth and connection with the greater force that connects all living beings. Through her lived experience and work experience with folks with mental and emotional vulnerabilities, Pam has come to the practices of yoga and somatic therapy to guide her in sustaining her sanity in an increasingly insane and heartbreaking world.

Following the completion of her Masters in Social Work (MSW) with a focus in social enterprise administration at Columbia University, she founded and directed Spirit of Youth Yoga from 2015- early 2019 to build skills for inner resilience with youth and service providers. The project has served over 1500 youth in San Jose schools and over 250 educators, counselors, and administrators. While she has had to put the project to rest so that she could also rest a bit (and because fundraising is not really her jam), she continues to move this work forward through her work with Seeds of Awareness as a school-based counselor and through teaching social-emotional skills and mindfulness practices to youth, educators, and other changemakers to build inner resilience and thriving communities.
