After a 2-year tour of duty in Silicon Valley as a product designer, Norman realized the real bugs weren’t in software, but in people. Since then, he’s shifting from designing interfaces to designing transformative learning experiences, and has worked with learners from high-schoolers to executives. He’s built a design thinking playbook for educators with Stanford d.school, facilitated Stanford Graduate School of Business’ flagship course on interpersonal dynamics ("Touchy Feely"), and most recently served as the Emotional Intelligence Program Manager at MissionU (acquired by WeWork). Norman’s focus at MissionU was equipping students with self-awareness, and skills for effective influence and connection. He enjoys jazz piano in his spare time. http://norman-tran.com.
