Nii Ato is a holistic career coach helping ambitious professionals of color navigate their job search while remaining authentic to themselves. Nii Ato holds master’s level training in mental health counseling, allowing him to provide a holistic approach to his work with clients. He spent 5+ years as the Sr. Career Advisor at Ivy Exec, an online professional development platform, where he provided job search, resume, and career guidance to over 5,000 global clients spanning mid-career professionals up to C-suite executives — across industries.
Nii Ato earned his BA in Psychology from Hamilton College and MA & Ed.M. degrees in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. His early career includes roles as an HR Analyst at Merrill Lynch and an Associate Recruiter in executive search at Isaacson, Miller.
Nii Ato was born in London, raised in NYC, finished high school in Accra, Ghana, and spent a full year studying abroad in Paris. He is a husband, a father to a wonderful 8-year old girl, and a frustrated Arsenal fan.
