    Nicole is a software engineer at Avant and a co-organizer for Chicago Women Developers and Chi Ladies Hack. Before transitioning to tech, Nicole received her B.A. in Arabic Language and Literature from Washington University in St. Louis and worked for a few years in the field of immigration. She learned to code through awesome meetup groups like Girl Develop It, Railsbridge, and Chicago Women Developers as well as through online resources like Coursera and Codecademy. She is passionate about coding, tech education, and how technology can be used to better communities. She is also the proud owner of two cool kitties, named Ella and Seabass.
