Nick Dunford trained as a semi-professional cricket player in Australia and the UK before launching his first startup in 2007. Nick foresaw the disruption of the taxi-industry (before the age of the iPhone) and set up an alternative service, raising $400k of angel investment in the process. With his business failing in the first year, he realised the importance of sales and sought to hone his skills by working for a US software vendor Aderant, where he become the sales lead for Asia Pacific. Nick then went on to complete an MBA at the University of Oxford and upon finishing joined Slingshot to spearhead the development and launch of a new company and platform called CoVentured. Now in his role as General Manager, he helps to facilitate better collaboration between startups and corporates. Nick is also an avid dog lover.
