Naumaan Nayyar

Naumaan Nayyar is a data scientist and technology evangelist with several years of experience in machine learning, statistical inferences and modeling. He is currently a senior ML scientist at Amazon, where he creates intelligent products to understand and improve our workforce. Previously, he was the co-founder and CTO of a healthcare technology startup that used proprietary optimization and machine learning algorithms to improve operations at large hospitals in the US. Prior to starting this company, he was a researcher at IBM Research in New York, where he worked on modeling and prediction for business problems. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and has given several industry talks in the field. Naumaan holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Statistics from USC. In his spare time, he enjoys keeping up with advances in his field, hiking, traveling and photography.
