"Mike is the Founder of WorkLodge, a mission-driven, social enterprise that delivers flexible workspace for businesses and entrepreneurs at all stages of growth. He believes at a heart level, that entrepreneurship is the fundamental vehicle for bringing sustainable change to society’s biggest humanitarian issues. In partnership with his non-profit, the Gabriel Project, he's on a journey to marry people with profit, and find purpose. Originally from the U.K., Mike moved his family to the U.S. to pursue work in the non-profit arena, spending several years giving back through multiple non-profits and local churches.

In 2011 he joined The Guidry Group, a boutique, private security firm affectionately nicknamed the ‘Secret Service for Billionaires’ and specializing in kidnap, ransom and extortion cases. Mike served in several roles during his time there, ultimately as Chief Operating Officer.

In 2020, Mike was recognized as one of Houston's 'Most Admired CEOs' by the Business Journal, and launched 'The Mike Thakur Show', a podcast where he shares his journey of learning how to change lives through entrepreneurship and sustainable social enterprise. His heart is that the show will encourage businesses to shift their thinking in how they view their role and ability to positively influence society's needs.
