Michael is a veteran angel investor, named UK Angel Investor of the Year 2015, and selected as one of the Maserati 100, classified as a ‘Business Angel you should know’. Having moved to Singapore in 2013 with the hopes of helping his portfolio companies expand to Southeast Asia, Michael noticed an opportunity to create value, specifically at the seed stage, in the startup landscape here. He has been angel investing in Singapore since, and set up Cocoon Capital along side co-founder William Klippgen in 2016. Cocoon adopts a hands-on, founders-first approach to early stage investing and has, at present, 10 portfolio companies.
