A demanding career and healthy social life left Mia struggling to feel good amidst a seemingly endless schedule of dinners and late nights out. Tired, cranky and a few pounds over her normal weight, Mia developed an insatiable interest in nutrition and fitness. She experimented with every juice, raw food and carb-phobic cleanse on the market, until she finally figured out how to live a more balanced life: The RASA Life.
Originally from California, life has taken Mia all over the map – in recent years, she’s lived in New York City, Barcelona and Hong Kong. From the farmer’s markets in San Francisco to Chinese Medicine in Asia, Mia is inspired by wellness traditions from around the globe.
When she’s not in the kitchen or in down dog, Mia loves to travel, read Vanity Fair and dance in the living room with her husband Jamie.
Mia is a licensed Holistic Health Coach from the Institute of Integrated Nutrition, and holds diplomas in Classic Culinary Arts from The French Culinary Institute, and English Literature from UC Santa Barbara.
